Q: How to play

A: Select a drink family from the dropdown, or the quiz tab on a drinks fan page, or use quiz search, and related questions are displayed for play. If you answer right, an in-game message will display the stirlings you won for getting it right.

Q: Can I play the same questions again?

A: Once a question is answered it will never display again. Only questions you skip will be displayed again.

Q: Why is the quiz tab displayed on drink fan pages?

A: The quiz tab on the drinks fan page displays questions related to that drink. It's a filter to help you play questions related to that drink. You can change your choice & you will be re-directed to the selected fan pages quiz tab.

Q: How do you decide what the drink families are called?

A: The World's Longest Drink Quiz is categorized based on the drink family tree created by stirthemix.com located at www.stirthemix.com/drinks/family. We created our own categorization since we did not find an easy-to-understand category tree. You are free to use this categorization; but please don't forget to link back to us.

Q: How Quiz I.Q. calculated?

A: Your I.Q. is computed based on internal heuristics.

Q: What are stirlings?

A: Stirlings are stirthemix.com's virtual currency which you win for your interactions with fan pages on stirthemix, including

• Playing the Quiz
• Creating Quiz questions
• Adding new drinks
• Editing fan pages
• Adding images to galleries

Your stirlings are displayed on the right-hand-side of your profile, and the widget follows you site-wide. Alongside is displayed your ranking in the global leaderboard. The more stirlings you win the better your chances of featuring on the global leaderboard.

Q: What are bonus stirlings?

A: You are awarded bonus stirlings for getting answers right in a row, creating multiple questions, adding multiple images, and creating multiple fan pages. Our secret sauce lies in computing your bonuses and there's no way we are giving it away.

Q: What are badges

A: Badges are virtual rewards you win for your interactions & contributions to the quiz, fan pages & image gallery. Do more to win more. And remember, each activity has a unique set of badges waiting to be won.

Q: Where can I find all the badges I won?

A: Your badges are stored in your 'My Winnings' tab found on your profile.

Q: How do I create Quiz questions?

A: Clicking the create quiz link opens the create quiz frame.

• For each new question you add, you must select a drink family from the dropdown
• Add your question & the correct answer in answer option 1. On submit, stirthemix quiz engine stirs up the answers in a random sequence.
• Add an image & tags to help other members find questions you created
• You can create multiple questions in a row. Click 'Go Live' once you are done.
• The questions you submitted are added to The World's Longest Drink Quiz & go live immediately.

Q: Why do I need to select a drink family or enter a brand name?

A: Because all questions created by you are associated on either a drink family or brand fan page. Your questions are added to the question bank of that drink.

Q: Can I delete a question I created?

A: Yes. You can delete a question during the quiz create process. But once the question is submitted, it cannot be deleted.

Q: Can I include URL's in quiz create?

A: Yes. You can include urls in either the question or the answer options. Members use this to link websites where players can find clues to the answer. You must know that since most drinks related websites have an age verification process, your link will redirect the player to the landing page of that website. If you choose to provide the link of a page on stirthemix.com, it will open in a new tab & will not require age verification since the player has already provided his age before he has started playing the quiz.

Q: How does quiz image upload work?

A: Once you upload a image, the crop tool displays a selected area which will be cropped & displayed in the quiz play. This helps when you are creating a 'Guess the brand' question, or you would like to highlight just a part of the image during quiz play. Resize the crop selection & click 'apply changes'.

Q: Where can I see all my quiz contributions?

A: Head to your profile 'My Contribution' tab. Here, you can view all your quiz contributions in the 'Quiz' sub-tab.

Q: Reporting inappropriate content

A: You can report content by mailing us at admin@stirthemix.com. If stirthemix admin flags the reported content as inappropriate, it will be deleted. Stirthemix admin has the undisputed right to ban you as a member on stirthemix.com. You will not be allowed to register again.

Q: How do I take a break mid-game?

A: You can quit play anytime. Since there is no sequence in which the questions appear, the next time you start play, the questions you have not played yet are ready for play.

A: You can discuss the Quiz in the comments featured just under the Quiz play on the respective fan page tabs.
